What Are Interior Shutters?

CInterior Shutters could be desribed as slatted blinds (often known as louvres) that can be made from either wood or polyvinyl, that are built into their own panel and attached into a frame.  These frames are made to measure and installed into your existing windows/doors frames or reveals.

1. What areas do we cover ?

We cover the whole of Essex, East London and surrounding areas generally within 90mins of our HQ in Benfleet.

2. What is your lead time on shutters ?

Generally 8 weeks for wooden shutters and 2-3 weeks for polyvinyl. Specialist shapes and custom colours will take slightly longer.

3. What materials do your shutters come in ?

Our shutters are available in paulownia hardwood (smooth and grained finish), waterproof polyvinyl & poplar hardwood is also now available.

4. What are your payment terms ?

A 50% deposit would be required to place an order with the balance due on the completion of installation.

5. Can shutters be fitted in kitchens & bathrooms ?

Yes, shutters can be installed in any window or room. Waterproof polyvinyl shutters are used in bathrooms/wet rooms where there is lots of moisture.

5. Can shutters be installed on sliding, french or bi-folding doors ?

Yes, we have the bi-pass and bi-folding options as well as goal post frame shutters.

6. How do you clean shutters ?

Wipe over with a soft dry cloth or use a feather duster to remove any layers of dust. Damp cloth suitable for a deeper clean but avoid harsh chemicals/products that could damage the paint finish.

7. Do shutters provide blackout ?

By design shutters are not blackout, we do offer a blackout cellular pleated blind that is built into the frame (window side) to provide blackout if required. Available manual & motorised.

8. How long do shutters last & what warranty do you offer?

If looked after with care and occasional maintenance shutters can last for decades. We offer a 5 year warranty on parts and labour.
